Ketua Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP) RI Heddy Lugito mengatakan bahwa persoalan utama penyelenggara pemilu saat ini bukan pada kemampuan teknis, melainkan pada aspek integritas.
“Persoalan utama penyelenggara pemilu saat ini bukan soal kemampuan teknis, melainkan soal integritas. Itu yang paling bermasalah dan hampir semua persoalan muaranya dari integritas penyelenggara,” kata Heddy di Jakarta, Kamis (31/10) malam.
Hal itu disampaikannya dalam Rapat Dengar Pendapat (RDP) Komisi II DPR RI bersama dengan KPU RI, Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) RI, dan Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP) RI.
“Itu tantangan penyelenggara pemilu, bukan persoalan teknis, kemampuan teknis teman-teman sudah jago, tetapi persoalan integritas penyelenggara pemilu itu yang jadi keprihatinan DKPP,” ujarnya.
Menurut dia, aspek integritas tersebut juga menyebabkan tumpukan aduan terkait dengan dugaan pelanggaran oleh penyelenggara pemilu pun tidak ditindaklanjuti.
“Bila penyelenggara pemilu punya integritas yang baik, hal-hal yang teknis itu tidak akan terjadi,” ucapnya.
