Kepolisian Daerah Papua Barat mengungkapkan terjadinya insiden penembakan yang dilakukan orang tak dikenal (OTK) saat personel Brimob melaksanakan patroli rutin di Kampung Bamusbama, Distrik Yembun, Tambrauw, Papua Barat Daya, Sabtu.
Kepala Bidang Humas Polda Papua Barat Komisaris Besar Polisi Ongky Isgunawan dalam keterangannya kepada awak media di Manokwari, Sabtu malam, menjelaskan bahwa satu regu personel Bawah Kendali Operasi (BKO) Brimob Polda Papua Barat sedang melaksanakan patroli rutin dari Distrik Fef menuju Kampung Bamusbama, Distrik Yembun.
“Lebih kurang 342 meter dari Kantor Distrik Yembun, OTK menembak personel yang patroli. Tidak ada korban jiwa dalam insiden tersebut,” kata Ongky.
Setelah mendapat tembakan, personel Brimob langsung melakukan penyisiran di sekitar tempat kejadian perkara, namun OTK tersebut berhasil melarikan diri ke arah hutan.
Tembakan itu mengenai bagian belakang kendaraan yang digunakan personel dalam melakukan patroli rutin. Jajaran kepolisian terus menyisir kelompok-kelompok pengganggu stabilitas keamanan.
“Kami tidak memberikan ruang kepada siapa pun yang mencoba mengganggu stabilitas keamanan di wilayah hukum Polda Papua Barat,” ujar Ongky.
Ia mengimbau seluruh komponen masyarakat di Kabupaten Tambrauw agar tetap tenang dan tidak mudah terpancing dengan munculnya informasi yang tidak sesuai fakta.
Kepolisian terus menjalin komunikasi dengan para tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat, dan tokoh pemuda agar turut berpartisipasi mencegah tindakan memecah belah persatuan.
“Kalau melihat ada orang yang gerak-geriknya mencurigakan, sampaikan kepada kepolisian melalui pos penjagaan terdekat,” ujar Ongky Isgunawan.
