PT Menthobi Karyatama Raya Tbk (MKTR) kolaborasi dengan PT Mahkota Group Tbk (MGRO) melakukan sustainability di industri perkebunan dan pengolahan kelapa sawit nasional melalui skema kolaborasi. Inisiatif ini dilakukan untuk menciptakan nilai tambah dari aspek ekonomi melalui pengolahan produk samping.
Keduanya membangun fasilitas produksi pabrik pupuk kompos granul berbahan baku Janjang Kosong (Jankos) Sawit di Palembang, Sumatera Selatan, diresmikan 1 Oktober 2024. “Kolaborasi ini merupakan bagian dari implementasi green industry yang akan menghasilkan pupuk organik berkualitas tinggi,” ungkap Direktur MKTR, M. Pahlevi Pangerang, saat peresmian pabrik kolaborasi ini, Rabu (2/10/2024).
Perluasan praktik pengolahan produk samping yaitu limbah dari pabrik kelapa sawit ini tidak terlepas dari keberhasilan di lingkungan MKTR yang telah menghasilkan produk pupuk organik padat dan cair. Dijalankan melalui entitas anak yaitu PT Menthobi Hijau Lestari (MHL) yang kemudian produknya memiliki merek dagang GreenGrow dan merupakan pionir produsen pupuk organik padat berbentuk granul dari bahan baku limbah kelapa sawit.
“Kami menyadari betapa pentingnya peran industri kelapa sawit dalam perekonomian nasional. Namun, tanggung jawab kita tidak berhenti pada aspek ekonomi semata karena memiliki tanggung jawab besar untuk memastikan bahwa praktik-praktik yang kita jalankan memberikan dampak positif bagi lingkungan,” Pahlevi menjelaskan.
Maka, Pahlevi mengatakan, MKTR membuka peluang untuk kolaborasi dan kemitraan strategis dengan lebih banyak pihak. Hal ini sebagai upaya untuk memerluas kontribusi Perusahaan dan industri akan terwujudnya green industry sehingga memberikan manfaat berkelanjutan dan jangka panjang.
Khusus untuk kolaborasi MKTR dengan MGRO, secara operasional akan dijalankan oleh masing-masing anak usaha yaitu antara PT MHL dengan PT Berlian Inti Mekar (PT BIM). Pabrik pupuk kompos granul berbahan baku Jankos Sawit ini berlokasi di area seluas 50,48 hektar di kawasan milik PT BIM di Sumatera Selatan dengan kapasitas produksi mencapai 40 ton per hari.
Direktur MHL, Dadan Ramdhani, mengatakan nantinya produk dihasilkan akan dipasarkan dengan merek GreenGrow yang telah mengantongi izin produksi dan pemasaran serta memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). “Kami optimistis kolaborasi untuk mengolah produk samping dari industri kelapa sawit ini bukan hanya memberikan nilai tambah bagi kedua perusahaan namun juga terhadap industri dan lingkungan. Bagian dari praktik industri yang mengedepankan prinsip sustainability.”
Terlebih kehadiran pabrik pupuk organik ini akan mereduksi proses kimia pembakaran sisa hasil pertanian serta menghapus pembuangan sampah secara terbuka dan praktik pengelolaan limbah yang menghasilkan emisi metana. Berkontribusi terhadap penurunan Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK).
“Ini merupakan pabrik pupuk kompos granul pertama berbahan baku Jankos Sawit di Sumatera Selatan yang sekaligus merupakan solusi atas penanganan limbah Pabrik Kelapa Sawit menjadi bernilai tambah,” ucap Presiden Direktur Mahkota Group, Usli Sarsi.
Kandungan positif dalam produk GreenGrow mampu memperbaiki struktur tanah, meningkatkan kapasitas retensi dan penyerapan air tanah, serta menambah dan mengaktifkan unsur hara dalam tanah. GreenGrow mengandung bakteri potensial pengikat nitrogen, bakteri pelarut fosfat, dan promotor hormon pertumbuhan akar yang sangat bermanfaat bagi tanaman.
