PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Utara (Bank Sumut) berencana bergabung ke dalam skema kelompok usaha bank (KUB). Direktur Utama Bank Sumut Babay Farid Wazdi mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya telah menyampaikan rencana tersebut dengan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK).
“Tadi saya baru wacanakan dengan OJK. Nanti langkah pertama saya akan audiensi dulu dengan OJK pusat yang menangani KUB,” kata Babay selepas peluncuran roadmap Penguatan BPD tahun 2024-2027 di Grand Hyatt, Senin (14/10/2024).
Berbeda dengan beberapa KUB BPD yang telah terbentuk, Babay mengatakan Bank Sumut terbuka untuk bergabung dengan KUB dengan himpunan bank milik negara atau bank swasta. Itu jika didorong oleh OJK dalam pertemuan resmi kedua belah pihak nanti.
“Atau misalkan ke bank swasta yang acceptable, diterima oleh masyarakat ya. Kadang-kadang kan ketika ke swasta nanti ada isu swastanisasi atau apalah gitu kan. Itu nanti yang bisa diterima oleh masyarakat di daerah itu,” pungkasnya.
Hingga kini, terdapat dua BPD yang resmi menjadi induk KUB, yakni PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk. (BJBR) dan PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk. (BJTM) atau Bank Jatim. Di samping itu, ada PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah DKI Jakarta atau Bank DKI yang menjadi calon induk KUB.
Untuk diketahui, Bank Sumut mencetak laba bersih Rp351,62 miliar sepanjang semester I-2024, ambles 6,60% dari setahun sebelumnya atau year on year (yoy) sebesar Rp376,48 miliar.
Beban bunga tercatat membengkak 118,25% yoy, dari Rp484,39 miliar menjadi Rp1,06 triliun. Sementara pendapatan bunga Bank Sumut naik 38,74% yoy menjadi Rp2,23 triliun. Pendapatan bunga bersih pun menyusut 2,56% yoyo menjadi Rp1,70 triliun.
