Tuntutan lembaga tersebut menyebut Apple mengganggu, menahan, dan memaksa karyawan dalam menjalankan hak-hak mereka berdasarkan undang-undang ketenagakerjaan federal.
Apple, dalam sebuah pernyataan yang diberikan oleh seorang juru bicara, mengatakan bahwa pihaknya selalu menghormati hak karyawan untuk membahas upah, jam kerja, dan kondisi kerja, yang tercermin dalam kebijakan ketenagakerjaannya.
“Kami sangat tidak setuju dengan klaim ini dan akan terus membagikan fakta-fakta di sidang tersebut,” kata Apple, dikutip dari Reuters, Rabu (2/10/2024).
Jika Apple tidak menyelesaikannya, kasus akan disidangkan oleh hakim administratif mulai Januari tahun dean.
Badan tersebut berupaya meminta Apple untuk membatalkan peraturan yang diduga melanggar hukum dan memberi tahu seluruh tenaga kerjanya di AS tentang hak-hak hukum mereka.
Pengaduan tersebut bermula dari tuduhan yang diajukan terhadap Apple pada 2021 oleh Ashley Gjovik, mantan manajer teknik senior di perusahaan tersebut.
